Four Way Story

While chauffeuring a group around town, an overly inviting woman asked me to party with her and her friends. It was a good offer for a man that normally drove around a $500 van. I declined and spent time on the sidewalks listening to people play music under the city lights while the group dined next door. Ahead I saw a man in a suit, similar to myself, opening doors for another group in a limo. They were laughing and carrying on as if they were headed to some exotic destination. They were showing off, as people sometimes do, holding their hands out of the windows hollering at people passing by. Shortly thereafter, my own group exited from their extravagant dining experience. I aided them into the limo and began the last leg of the journey. As a checked traffic behind me, I remembered what a wise person had once said…you can learn a lot from your past, but don't spend the rest of your life looking in the rearview mirror.
